EcoMom Issues?

An important update from ecomom

We have temporarily taken the site down to do some maintenance. Everyone is trying to get in before the sale ends and it has made the site too slow for everyone. If you simply email us by midnight pacific time tonight at customerservice@ecomom.com that you wanted to participate in the sale -- even if you don't tell us what you want specifically -- you will be covered and able to get the deal about which you are all still very excited. Thank you!

Forever 21 B1G1

Forever 21  has a lot of items on sale right now Buy 1 Get 1. The sale lasts through Dec 4th, but free shipping for online orders ends tonight. Use code CYBERMO. The ad says in stores and online so check it out :)

$10 for $20 at Overstock.com

Just wanted to let you know this deal is available for 8 more hours. There is something for everyone on overstock.com! Perhaps you are in a $10 or $20 Yankee Swap for work or family? Well, why not get it for half off? Or get 2 swaps covered for $10. I'm just saying. I can't see how anyone couldn't use this! Free shipping too! Check it out here!

SHOUTOUT TO MY HUSBAND!

Some of you may not know this, but my LOVE for deals is slowly rubbing off on my husband :) He just called me to tell me that he happened to stop by one of his favorite stores (Urban Outfitters) and saw the jacket he had recently purchased. He noticed it was marked down $10 less than what he paid AND they were taking an additional 30% off. Instead of shrugging that off like he may have done in the past (hassle not worth it), he instead, got his jacket PRICE ADJUSTED!!! His reward- $40 dollars back! Totally worth it.

Price adjustments are a beautiful thing, especially around Christmas. Sales fluctuate so much. Many places offer a 7-14 day period where they will adjust your price if you bring in your receipt. Something to keep in mind :)

Toys!

JCPenney has a lot of toys on sale right now. Free shipping to your local store. Use the code BUY4KIDS to get an additional 15% off too! Search around, these were some of my favs. Here's a link to the rest of them: TOYS!

Tea Cart with accessories for $14.45 (originally $39.99)
90 piece play food set on sale for $6 (originally $30!) Great gift for kids!
Mobile Light & Sound Barbecue Grill on sale for $14.45 (originally $49.99)
Princess Tea Party Playset on sale for $17 (originally $39.99)

I couldn't help it! I just ordered this grill for Grady for his 2nd bday! He LOVES to help his daddy grill :)

Today only Target Deals!

Just after I post those coupons, there is a sweet deal online! Target does "daily deals" where they offer discounted items online with free shipping. Today there are some cute things :)
*SOLDOUT* :( This sweater is on sale for $9.99 w/free shipping & use $4 online coupon code TGTFZS8U- $6 sweater!
*It comes in 3 other colors. It is long, one of the smaller pictures shows it extending past  your jean pockets.

Also, there are cute aprons on sale for just $13 each with free shipping!

Also a HOT coupon found from hip2save.com is a $10 gift card with any $50 purchase at target. We all know its way too easy to spend $50 at target! Check it out here.

***Don't forget to go through ebates for 3% cash back. And if it's your first time signing up, a $10 gift card too after a $25 purchase!

Target Coupons

You may or may not know that Target has coupons on their website at all times. Some of them make for a really great deal :) I personally love their "apparel" coupons. Right now for example, there is a $4 off any women's sweater and $3 off women's sleepwear. These coupons can be paired with sales & even clearance. Last year I got jeans for free using a $5 off jeans coupon! So check it out here. (You can print every coupon twice.)

There are a ton of insane match ups with regular coupons, target coupons & sales but I'll just send you over to TotallyTarget.com for all other Target related deals :)

And the waiting begins...

For the packages of course :)

If you didn't already know, you'd soon find out that I LOVE getting packages. I'd almost rather shop online (so long as shipping is free) so that I can then have the fun anticipation of waiting for what I just bought. It's kind of like a double Christmas. A few weeks of pre-Christmas opening packages and then the fun of wrapping and giving to someone else for the real Christmas :)

I'd list all the things I'm waiting for but then my friends & family would know what they are getting...
What are you waiting for in the mail???

Oh and one little funny Black Friday story for you!
I think it's finally funny to me...

My friend Rachel & I went to the outlet malls on Thursday night. Our last stop for the night/morning was Old Navy. The line was out of control but we decided to get in it anyways. We had been in line for about 40 minutes when the girl behind us came up with 3D glasses for her and her friends stating that an employee told her if she was wearing these when she checked out, she'd get an EXTRA 50% off. So what do I do but go get a pair for Rachel & I. Then Rachel & I take turns standing in line as we frantically double the amount of items we previously had. I had the cutest coat for Grady, so excited!!!

15 minutes go by and we finally make it towards the front. An employee asks me how my night is going. I reply, "SOOOO GREAT!!! Best night of my life!" (common phrase i use). A few minutes later, Rachel steps up to an open register, meanwhile the employee asks me what I think is going to happen if I'm wearing the glasses. In a whisper I say, "we get an extra 50% off :) :) :)!" She replies, "Umm...I think you just get a sticker..." I say, "If I get a sticker, I'm putting it on you :) hahaha" All fun & games...until I step up to the register and this lady has no idea what I'm talking about either. BUT, there are other ladies wearing them who were given the same information. The employees said there was a promo with them the day before. Regardless, many women, not happy. We tried our best to argue our case but they weren't having it. Apparently there was one misinformed employee walking around or an employee playing a terrible joke on people who waited in line an hour at 1am :(

Rocket Dog

Rocketdog.com is offering 40% off their entire site with free shipping until November 30th. I think they have such cute shoes and online they actually have a few styles in size 11. (I hate size 11, so hard to find!) Also, today there is a Facebook code- FACEBOOK11 that will take off another $10! I just got a pair of black flats, originally $45 for just $18 shipped to my door (in my size!). I'm guessing the Facebook code ends tonight.

When you go to enter the Facebook code though, it's really finicky. You'll see the text about entering the code, but you won't see the space to enter it. I just clicked to the left of the text and wrote invisible letters. When I highlighted it, I could see the code. It came off once I clicked to continue to final billing.

EXPIRED :( Cardstore Again!

*Apparently the 100,000 cards it was limited to have been used, darn it!

I just feel like this needs it's own post! All cards are only $.49 and with the code WELCOME30, they are only $.34! Christmas, Thank you, Stationary, Announcement, and more! Plus, they are still offering free postage if you address each envelope. So, perhaps, you know you will need to write thank you cards to all of your family after Christmas, address them and get a free stamp!

A set of 10 personalized set of cards for only $3.40. That's a cute, cheap gift.

Also, I read that a few people just entered periods (.) for each address except you have to choose a state and they plan to write over that when they are ready to address them. If you don't mind a few extra dots on your envelope, it allows for the most flexibility with your cards.

EcoMom Issues?

Whelp, all sold out. It seems like a lot of you were able to get the deal. I hope you are as excited as I am to use it! Let us know what you end up getting. I'm already having trouble deciding. And I just realized all my friends bought the deal so I suppose I won't be using my items as presents for their kids, haha :) Oh well, more for G!

If you are experiencing some trouble on ecomom, it's not you, it's them and they are sorry :) They got SLAMMED and are doing their very best to keep up.  You can click here for their full apology but I included an excerpt below. They encourage you to contact them with any issues.

Because of the inconvenience we have caused you, we are extending the sale and discounts through midnight, November 30th.  This will allow us to get our hardware solution in place, to address all of your orders, replenish many of the items that may have gone out of stock from the overwhelming response to our sale, and even add some items that weren't going to be received until early next week.

If you tried to place an order with us and have met with frustration, delays, or anything else, I want to apologize again.  This is not what we intended nor what you should expect from us.  The new hardware should address the shortcomings with our site.  There will be more good news in about a week that will make sure we never have to put you in this situation again.

In the meantime, if you are trying to place an order and are having difficulties, you can simply send an email to me at jody@ecomom.com with what you are trying to purchase.  Give me your contact info and one of our team will get back to you to assist as soon as the new hardware is in place tomorrow.

Cards with stamps for less than a stamp?!

Cardstore.com is having a huge sale right now. I have ordered cards from them before and they are great quality. Right now, they are offering 70% off cards plus a free stamp when you address each envelope! You could literally get a personalized card, and pre-addressed envelope for than the cost of a stamp! Keep in mind that it's not limited to Christmas cards. I also ordered a set of personalized stationary! They have cute thank you cards as well. For the free stamps, you will need to enter each address into your address book. They will come printed on the stamped envelope. If you do not care to enter each address, you will still get 70% off but no stamp.

EXAMPLE: I order 50 cards which were originally $2.39. With 50, they were reduced to $1.39 totaling $69.50. Enter the code BLACKFRI and the total was only $20.58! The stamps alone would cost me $22! :)

*I've also found that the best price point is when you order 50 of the same card. (Sliding scale, the more you order, the less they cost.) Also, I read that a few people just entered periods (.) for each address except you have to choose a state and they plan to write over that when they are ready to address them. If you don't mind a few extra dots on your envelope, it allows for the most flexibility with your cards.

Check out the tab for Half Price Deals and go save yourself some money! I'll be putting up a tab with my favorite retail coupon sites as well. You can almost always find a printable coupon or online code to "create" a sale for yourself. Happy shopping.
