Stock up Items at Meijer~

Sometimes using coupons and checking sales can feel like more hassle than it's worth in a moment. One thing I try to do is find "stock-up" prices for items I know I use all the time. When an item hits that low price point...you know what to do! Stock up :) This week at Meijer, it's a good meat week.

Family pack chicken breasts on are on sale for $1.87 and boneless pork loin is on sale for $1.79! Also, boneless chuck eye roast is just $3.49. Another reason why I love to stock up on these items is because they make some of the EASIEST crock pot meals! (John says all women when complimented on a meal respond with "Oh, it was so easy!" But EVERYONE says that he says.)

But I PROMISE you, EASY.
Say you buy a family size boneless pork loin around 5lbs, what do you do with it?
Well, you throw it in the crockpot, pour 2 cans of rootbeer on it and let it sit for 6-8hrs on low. Then you use two forks and pull it apart. Put a bottle of bbq sauce and a pack of buns beside it. DONE.
Similar idea with the chicken.
Throw it straight in a crockpot with some bbq sauce and let it cook on low all day. Smells and tastes delicious! Or if you are more in the mood for tacos, throw a cup of water and packet of seasoning in the crockpot for every pound of meat and WHALAH, tacos for dinner!
And the Chuck eye roast?
Italian beef by way of throwing them in the crock pot, adding a few cups of water and a few packets of Italian dressing seasoning. Or cut up the meat, cut up a few potatoes, a bag of baby carrots and a packet of dry onion soup.
You won't even need candles on crockpot days it smells so good!!!
